Northern Beaches

The beaches of the northern coast of Florianópolis begin after the marshy ecological reserve at Rio Ratones in the north-western corner. They are almost all built up and have buildings of a few stories in the three or four blocks behind. Many of them are full with Brazilian and Argentinean holidaymakers at peak time, but some are almost completely residential with amongst the most expensive properties on the island.
