Florianópolis is well connected to many cities by bus, with regular overnight and daytime services to the cities below. From all other destinations, a connection in Sao Paulo from the north or Porto Alegre from the south may be necessary.

The island of Santa Catarina lies around 5km from the main coastal road of Brazil, the notorious BR101. The road isn´t particularly well maintained, is under seemingly constant repair and upgrade, has many accidents and also very heavy traffic heading to the beaches of Santa Catarina at holiday periods. For this reason, please don´t take the journey times below as gospel, and don´t blame Go Floripa if they are out by anything up to 6 hours.
